Director of Nursing and Senior Nursing Leaders New Private Hospital Noosa QLD Location : Noosa, Queensland Opening : Mid 2026 Position Type : Full-Time An established and growing private healthcare provider is preparing to open a brand new day hospital service in Noosa in mid 2026 and is now seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing to lead this exciting new development. This is a rare opportunity to be involved from the ground up, shaping clinical services, culture, and team capability in a newly built facility. About the Role As Director of Nursing, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across all nursing services. You will play a pivotal role in recruiting, developing, and leading the full nursing workforce, including Nurse Unit Managers, Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, and support staff. You will work closely with senior leadership and medical specialists to ensure excellence in clinical governance, patient care, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Provide strong clinical and professional leadership across nursing services Lead the recruitment and establishment of the full nursing workforce Develop and implement clinical governance frameworks, policies, and procedures Ensure compliance with AHPRA, NSQHS Standards, and relevant legislation Drive quality improvement, risk management, and patient safety initiatives Support accreditation and hospital commissioning processes Foster a positive, collaborative, and high performance culture Manage workforce planning, rostering, and professional development About You You will ideally bring: Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Demonstrated experience in a senior nursing leadership role such as Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, or Nurse Manager Experience in private hospital, day surgery, or acute care environments highly regarded Strong knowledge of clinical governance and accreditation standards Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills A proactive, adaptable, and solutions focused approach Working Rights Requirement Applicants must have current and unrestricted working rights in Australia.
